Sponsored registration: speakers and authors

The Union is pleased to offer 100 sponsored registrations to the 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health, including TBScience 2020. Individuals from low and lower middle-income countries will be given priority, as will those who are presenting at the conference, including invited speakers and presenters of oral abstract session and symposia presentations who would be unable to participate without support.

The applications will be reviewed by members of The Union Coordinating Committee on Scientific Activities, TBScience Scientific Committee and The Union Department Heads and teams.

Minimum eligibility criteria:

  • Currently working or volunteering for a programme or research project in lung health.

Please note: survivors of TB or another lung disease should apply separately.

Application details

By 1 September, applicants must have submitted:

  1. One-page letter of motivation, including the following points (please note that CVs will not be accepted or reviewed):
    • Your current activities in lung health
    • Your contribution to this year’s virtual Union World Conference
    • Your plans for disseminating the knowledge you gain at the Union World Conference
  2. One letter of support, from a supervisor or supporting institution (e.g., academic department, NGO, government, association, umbrella organisation).

Formats accepted are PDF, doc, and doc.

Note: Recipients of a sponsored registration are required to share feedback and experiences with The Union in the post-conference report and work with The Union’s Communications team to engage on social media during and after the conference (more details will be shared with successful applicants).
