The Union late-breaker session on COVID-19

Submissions are closed

The 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health is pleased to announce The Union late-breaker session on COVID-19. This year, the Union World Conference will be held virtually.

All aspects of SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19-related lung health are welcomed for presentation during the late-breaker session, from basic science in immunology and vaccines, to operational research in adults and children.

This session will consist of up to six pre-recorded oral presentations of 10 minutes each, followed by live Q&A with online audience.

In keeping with the spirit of a late-breaker session, we ask that only new, innovative and significant findings of broad interest that have occurred after 11 May, or for which information has just become available, be submitted for the late-breaker sessions.

Abstract Submissions

Late-breaker abstract submissions are closed.

Please read the following carefully before submitting:

Abstracts must include specific data and results. Abstracts that do not contain specific results, or that were previously submitted to this conference, will be disqualified.

During the submission process, the persons submitting abstracts will be required to provide:

  • Confirmation that the work has not been previously submitted for consideration to the general portion of the Union World Conference
  • The date by which the work and analysis was mostly completed
  • The address, phone and e-mail address where the author may be contacted

All submitted abstracts will be scored by multiple peer reviewers. Persons submitting abstracts will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance of their abstract by 15 September. Note that decisions of the abstract review committee are final and cannot be appealed.

Even though the conference will be virtual this year, presenters will be required to be available on the date and time of their session presentation to engage with the audience for a Q&A session. The specific date and time of the session will be communicated in September.
