In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Union is announcing that the 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health will take place virtually from 20-24 October 2020.
Participants will join an innovative and interactive global virtual event, with new science, research, policy and networking on lung health. The programme will feature longstanding priorities like TB, air pollution, and tobacco control, as well as the historic new threat of COVID-19 and what that means for health systems more broadly.
This new virtual format will allow an affordable pricing structure enabling participants to benefit from The Union’s most accessible event.
The Union World Conference serves as a vital, unifying space to share the latest science and research that the lung health community relies on for its critical work. As the world reels from the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for this shared space has never been more urgent.
The theme of this year’s conference is Advancing Prevention. With the threat of COVID-19, prevention is critical for limiting its repercussions on global public health. The Union World Conference will provide an opportunity to promote solutions that can help end the pandemic, as we continue to make progress on TB and lung health issues that persist in killing millions every year.
As well as tracks on COVID-19 and its intersections with lung health, the conference programme will feature basic and translational TB research through TBScience 2020, and the most pressing issues facing affected communities through Community Connect.
Join us at the 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health. Wherever you are in the world, we can join together to find solutions to the biggest issues in lung health.
Registration is now open.
