The Union is aware that the rapidly developing situation regarding COVID-19 will impact seriously on events scheduled to take place over the next few months at least.
We are hopeful that global circumstances will be more favourable by October, in time for the 51st Union World Conference on Lung Health, but we will continue to monitor the situation and the potential impact on the conference closely.
The Union remains committed to ensuring knowledge sharing and collaboration throughout this difficult period, and to ensuring that services for those seeking care for tuberculosis (TB) and lung disease are maintained in this time of uncertainty.
The broad dissemination of the latest research on TB and lung disease continues to be a core priority of The Union. Therefore, we continue to encourage submissions of abstracts and sessions to the Union World Conference programme.
Regular updates will be made available here. Visit theunion.org for more information on how The Union is supporting the global response to ending COVID-19.
